Global Sounds Records is an international distribution label based in New Jersey. Global Sounds was formed in 2013 to provide global distribution of all forms of media to independent recording labels and artist. Global Sounds is distributed by entertainment One. e One is the largest independent Music and content distributor in North America and holds the largest market share of any independent. The company roster ranges from leading record labels to independent film and television companies. Global Sounds distributes all genres of music from urban Hip Hop to gospel. In 2015 we released "Chronicles of An Assason" by Wu-Tang | Killarmy member Shogun Assason, Philadelphia R&B vocalist Tony' Jones EP "Believe in Me" and platinum producer 4th Disciple's EP "P4P".
Global Sounds is owned and operated by Mid West native Rhasun Tapp Sr. Rhasun was introduced to the music industry in the early 90's through childhood friend Supreme Mayo. Rhasun assisted Supreme in street promotions and management for Wu-Tang and affiliate group Killarmy. In 2004, Rhasun incorporated Blakglobe Records and established a direct retail distribution deal with Tower Records and Coconuts. Rhasun executive produced the initial label release Blaktrilogy in 2006. In 2009, Rhasun executive produced Bizz "The Prince" album "Prince of Jersey" 2.0. The album featured DJ Kayslay, Philadelphia Freeway, Q Parker of 112 and production from 4th Disciple. The album was distributed via Select - O - Hits based in Memphis, TN. The album was available in retailers such as Best Buy, Fye and Sam Goody. In 2015, Rhasun partnered with Wu - Tang producer 4th Disciple to form Sonic Ministry Productions. Since the formation, Sonic Ministry has worked with Peedi Crakk, Sean Price, Sadat X, Method Man, Solomon Childs, Boaz, Dom Pachino. Planet Asia, Killah Priest and Wu-Tang HEFF
